Last Friday [info]nogias and I robbed a bank (-50 points). In February on a flight to Pakistan, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points).

Hmm, so this is still alive is it? Well then, let us use it then. Lots has gone on since I've last posted, but at the same time, not much has. Life is life, some say, and it continues until you change it.

I'm lucky enough to be sitting here during the final week of 3 consecurtive weeks of training that my company is hosting. It'll be nice not to have strangers wandering the office next week! Not that that is a bad thing. I met two of the people from Michigan I worked with closely on a project this morning because of it.

Other than that, I suppose life continues on! What shall it bring, what shall I bring it? Will it be what I wish for? We shall see!

I suppose that I should actually use this thing that that I've remembered my password and all that. Why are you reading this? I have no clue... I could ask the same question.

I've never been good at blogging things, but I think it might be time tor try it out in earnest. So, here goes!

A friend (Who happens to have a livejournal too), [info]darkladyothsith *waves hand, you saw no typographical error* had an entry that she stole which I will too.

"o to Wikipedia and look up your birth day (excluding the year). List three neat facts, two births and one death in your journal, including the year."

Events:
  • 1866 - The Metric Act of 1866 becomes law and legalizes the standardization of weights and measures in the United States.1868 - The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution is adopted guarenteeing African Americans full citizenship and all persons in the United States due process of law.
  • 1914 - World War I begins: Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia after it failed to meet the conditions of an ultimatum it set on July 23 following the killing of Archduke Francis Ferdinand by a Serbian assassin. This event leads to the outbreak of war.
Births:
  • 1866 - Beatrix Potter, English author (d. 1943)
  • 1907 - Earl Tupper, American inventor (d. 1983)
  • 1927 - John Ashbery, American poet
Deaths:
  •  1750 - Johann Sebastian Bach, German composer (b. 1685)
Kind of interesting to see the things that have happened in the world on the same day as you were born. Try it and find out!
